Dr. Jiney Caines
Dr. Jiney Caines received her BSc degree from McGill University in Anatomy and Cell Biology and completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at SUNY College of Optometry in New York City.
During her professional training she completed Primary Care rotations at the Brooklyn VA Hospital and SUNY University Eye Centre.She also rotated through the SUNY specialty contact lens clinic fitting soft, rigid, and scleral lenses, as well as a pediatric rotation where she received extensive training in binocular vision and Vision Therapy.
Dr. Caines has successfully passed the US National Board Exam (NBEO), Canadian National Board Exam (CSAO) and is TPA certified to treat and manage ocular diseases. She is also a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists, as well as the Canadian Association of Optometrists.
Dr. Lisa Tran
Dr. Lisa Tran received her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology with high distinction at the University of Toronto. She later attended the University Of Waterloo School Of Optometry to obtain her Doctor of Optometry degree with Dean’s Honour.
Currently, she practices at the Vaughan and Scarborough locations, while also working alongside many Toronto area ophthalmologists who specialize in glaucoma and the diseases of the cornea retina and more.
In addition to full eye examinations, Dr. Tran’s clinical interests include prevention, management and treatment of ocular diseases, dry eye management, providing low vision and paediatric eye exams. She is fluent in English, French, Cantonese and Mandarin. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists. Outside of work, she enjoys travelling and spending quality time with friends and family.
